Spanning over 160 years, from the port’s opening at the end of the Edo period to the present day, the history of Yokohama Chinatown has been shaped by the dynamic global events of its time. Our museum presents this remarkable history, showcasing the town’s evolution and the lives of its residents through easily understandable explanatory panels and an array of tastefully curated photographs.
